BEHOLD! Homemade Hoofjack/stand 2.0

So, I don't know if you all remember the hoof stand I made back in the day. Well, it didn't hold up too well in the long run, and the woodden base eventually broke.

So the past few days I've been fixing it to something I reckon should last me quite a while.

Here, in all its glory, is my homemade-from-scrap hoofjack/stand!









The cradle turned out better than I thought it would. Still need to figure out what to dress the stick with, so it doesn't rock while placed in the pipe.

The base is a plastic balance board, the... I don't know what you'd call it, but the pipe is a table leg (from IKEA), the cradle is one of these guys, which I don't know what are called in English:


I used a pipewrench and a vice to shape it, cut it with a device I don't know what is called, then glued a piece of rubber mat on top. We'll see if that holds up, or I might have to find something else/other to attach it with.

Anyhoo, I haven't tested it yet, but I'm quite looking forward to it!
