I’ll share my trip here in the future.
We visited Ireland directly after & from our trip to Iceland. As on Iceland, we drove clockwise around Ireland taking 14 days. We started in Cork, circled clockwise to a few miles north of Dublin, then drove through the interior to about Cork, then circled counter-clockwise from Cork area to Dublin. Ireland was unbelievably beautiful, but I’m still trying to recover from my experience with Irish drivers : )
Some of the highlights include:
Many roads barely the width of our car, driving out to the end of the Ring of Kerry and then taking a boat to Skellig Michael (& hiked up), saw dolphins near the boat, explored the Dingle peninsula, had a horse ride, visited the Connemara horses & the Irish National Stud farm, barely made the ferry to Inishmor but did & stayed the night, biked Inishmor, explored around 10+ castles, saw the Cliffs of Moher & the Giant’s Causeway and various stone circles, stayed a night at the top of the tower of a small castle, and drove through the Wicklow Mountains.
